NJ-2026-0007: Single mother who went from homelessness to her own Madison apartment, working two jobs and hoping for help this Christmas

FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A single mother is raising her 15-year-old son in an apartment in Madison, along with her 20-year-old daughter, who is a full-time college student. In 2022 the family moved to Morris County after leaving a domestic violence situation. They went through homelessness and a transitional housing program before moving into their Madison apartment in November 2025. She has worked full time at a physical therapy office for four years and also works part time at a dance studio, and she is the main provider for her household. Her son loves basketball and football and plays in his school's concert band, which is raising money for a trip to Florida. She recently learned to drive and bought a used car, but she has had to replace the battery twice and the car has stopped working again. She needs it to get to both jobs, appointments and the grocery store, and with groceries, bills and college costs there isn't much left for extras. Help this Christmas would let her give her children gifts without having to choose between Christmas and the everyday expenses that keep their home running. A sponsor's help this season would mean so much to her family.
