NJ-2026-0062: Mother who fled domestic violence with her 4-year-old son and is starting over with nothing
FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A mother who was a stay-at-home mom and caregiver for her husband, who has permanent mental disabilities, recently had to leave her home because of domestic violence. She is now separated and on her own with her 4-year-old son. Her two older children, ages 22 and 18, have moved out. She and her little boy are safe for now, staying with her brother in Southampton Township, but she has no resources at all, not even for his diapers. She needs to find a way to pay a deposit and rent so she and her son can have a place of their own, and she worries he may not even have a tree to look at this Christmas. She is thankful just for the chance to share her story.
