NJ-2026-0114: Single working mother of two whose 2-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with Level 2 autism

FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A single mother in West Windsor Township is raising two children, a 5-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, while working full time. This has been one of the most challenging years her family has faced. Her daughter was recently diagnosed with Level 2 autism, and while Mom is proud of everything that makes her daughter uniquely herself, this new chapter has brought emotional, practical and financial challenges. She is doing her best to learn, to advocate for her daughter and to make sure she has the therapies she needs, while keeping life as normal and happy as possible. She tries to make time for fun activities and happy memories for her children even when money is tight, but making ends meet has become difficult and the holidays add another layer of stress. She may not be able to give them everything she wishes she could, but she wants them to know they are loved and cherished. Help this Christmas would be a bit of relief for a mom who is doing everything she can, and a little Christmas magic for two children who deserve to smile, dream and simply be kids.
